As spring rolls into summer, I'm so happy to share some more fresh new designs that have just landed on the site!

My Square Personalised Print range has been here for a long time - lots of designs that you can choose to have printed either as an art print, or as a canvas print. And now there's lots of lovely brand new designs to choose from - perfect for all sorts of occasions, and all sorts of ages too.

As well as brand new designs, I've also been working on a refresh of lots of existing designs - improving and refining, updating colours, offering more colour choices, and introducing a new look to some old favourites.

Hello Lovely Autumn

The sun may be shining here in Lincolnshire today, but there's no denying that autumn is nipping at our ankles... You can feel it in that little nip in the air (even when it's warm), and in the changing colours on the trees. I know I'm contrary, but every time a new season starts I find myself thinking, "Yes, this one is my favourite"! I think autumn holds a sense of something exciting coming... which I suppose is true, as Christmas is less than 100 days away now!

Things I love about autumn*:

BRAND NEW: 23 Fantasy Portrait Designs

As we gently ease into autumn, I wanted to share some of the latest additions to PhotoFairytales - I've been working on them all summer long, and so excited to see them finally live on the website!

I've added 23 brand new Fantasy Portrait themes, and I very much hope you'll like them. If you're not familiar with them, this is where PhotoFairytales all began. The Portraits were my very first item when I began my small business and, although my site has grown a lot since 2009, I still love creating them as much today as I did back in the day.

Each one is created individually by hand (there's no 'click to upload/AI' going on here!) - painstakingly working with my customer's own photo to create a magical setting. Although I have dozens and dozens of themes to choose from, each image is completely bespoke and created to order.

I start with the customer's photo, carefully and slowly cropping away the background before introducing it to their chosen theme. I delicately tweak light and shadows, adjust the composition where necessary, and add props where needed like little fairy wings or wands, slowly building an image that's completely unique. The images are built using layer upon layer of digital art, with images usually made up of over 50 layers.

You can order just the artwork image only, or I offer various print options and sizes. Take a look at my site to see all the Fantasy Portrait designs available. I have lots to see, with designs for pretty much all ages (I've even created images for much loved fur babies too!)

NEW & EXCLUSIVE: Coronation Gift Collection

Time for a bit of new! I've designed a unique new collection of Coronation gifts and keepsakes to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III in May. You won't find these anywhere else and they're limited edition - so why not treat yourself to a lovely memento of the day!

I wanted to create a collection that has a classic feel and a good amount of "Britishness", working on the designs over several weeks until I was happy. The image I created originally was for a coronation mug, but as I worked on it I started to think how lovely it would look on a tea towel... ooh, and a bag too!

I created the design with His Majesty in mind from start to finish. I wanted to reflect his love of British nature and heritage, ensuring I included symbolism to represent the four corners of Britain - English roses, Scottish thistles, the Irish shamrock and Welsh daffodils. There's even little teapots hidden into the design, because we Brits do love our tea! Entwined into the leafy design are oak leaves and acorns.

The design was inspired by the historical printed coronation giftware that has been produced as souvenirs in this country for over 250 years. The colourful artwork has a traditional feel and features original vintage images alongside handpainted watercolour images. 

In addition to the mug, tea towel and bag, I've also created a special edition Blue Heritage Plaque - a lovely way to remember how you celebrated coronation day. Personalised to order with your own wording, the plaque can be displayed indoors or outside.

And, if you're looking forward to watching the coronation on television and don't want any interruptions, I have the perfect thing for you... a personalised wooden door hanger that will let everyone in the household know they need to keep quiet! Not just for the coronation of course, I think you'll find this useful whenever you're watching telly and need some peace...
